REGULATORY CONTEXT

Part P and Competent Person Self-Certification.

Notifiable electrical work in dwellings must be certified under Part P of the Building Regulations. As a NAPIT-registered Competent Person, we self-certify our own notifiable work and issue the required certification directly, without separate Building Control inspection.

For main contractors and developers, this keeps installation programmes moving without the delays of a separate Building Control application for qualifying domestic electrical work.
